National Occupation Survey begins in Cuba

The National Statistics and Information Office (ONEI) is carrying out the National Occupation Survey from Tuesday until July 30. This exercise will allow the analysis and characteristics of employment in Cuba and the subsequent development of public policies.

According to a report on the national television news, the survey in which more than 60,000 households will participate, will yield results by territories and at the country level in the working ages between 17 and 64 years for men and 17 and 59 for women.

Indicators such as the number of people working, age, skin color, province, educational levels, and employment prospects will be measured.

In addition, ONEI will conduct other national surveys this year, such as fertility and the economic situation of households.
